The east side of the rectangle

The east side of the rectangle is Route 1. Route 1 runs just on the east side of the rectangle, along Keikyu Main Line. The picture shows the wide space at the east gate of Keikyu Kamata Station, which is to be used for facilities for the station.

In the photo, you can see an overpass . This is Keikyu Haneda Line. Up to 15 years ago, this line crossed Route 1, causing heavy traffic congestions to one of the main roads for Japan. This improvement enabled Keikyu Haneda Line become more frequent and the trains become longer, which lead Keikyu Haneda Line to be the main route between Haneda Airport and Tokyo Downtown.
