Shiodome has an underground shopping mall. It is spread in the east of Shimbashi station. connecting surrounding buildings and offering restaurants of these buildings to office workers in this area.
But, as you can see, this shopping mall seems to have failed gaining popularity. When this opened 20 years ago, it was said to be the new fashionable area of Tokyo. But soon it came to be apparent that this area is hard to attract people, because this shopping mall is an impasse, nowhere to go beyond the mall. It seems difficult to regain shine.
