changing Tokyo

This is the picture of the Olympic Stadium two days after the Olympic games closed. Though Tokyo is still in the interlude period between Olympic and Paralympic, Japanese people are feeling the end of the turmoil – a row about whether the Olympic games should be held or not. Yes, the games have been definitely held, and most of the Japanese people now think the games were not the main reason of the rapid increase about the current COVID-19 patients.

It is too early to judge if the decision to hold the Olympic games was correct or not. But it can be said that people in Japan have turned the corner about Coronavirus challenge; their biggest concern was whether or how to hold the Olympic games. Now that they no longer need to mind that, it is certain that they are going to change the strategy and tactics to face the Coronavirus. No one knows what those will be, including this quiet stadium.
