Jimbocho is the synonym of “the town of bookstores”, especially “bookstores of old and used books”. Located just one or two miles northwest of Tokyo station, it has its own unique atmosphere which no other towns have. Almost all stores along the main street are bookstores each of which sells specific genres of books. That is why this town is filled with scholars, historians, scientists, students, and literary persons.
On this day, plenty of such people are strolling around this town as they did before COVID-19 pandemic. It seems they are returning to their lives before the pandemic.
