Sengoku is the first station from Sugamo on Mita Subway Line. Probably many people living in Tokyo would wonder why I chose this area , because they can point out no character or sightseeing spot . But this area has its unique character : one of the highest-rank residential areas in Tokyo.
Just before 100 years ago, Mitsubishi conglomerate began to sell this residential area to upper-class people, with its name “Yamato-Mura (village)”. Since then, many famous persons, including some prime ministers, has lived here. You can still see chic houses and mansions in this area with its special atmosphere.
