Otsuka

Otsuka is on Yanote Loop Line located next to Ikebukuro.Otsuka has been outshone by Ikebukuro for a long time. The only thing which illustrates Otsuka has been the tram station , the only one on Yamanote Loop Line because Tokyo metropolitan tram network was abolished 50 years ago except one line which passes through Otsuka.

Even now Otsuka is no match for Ikebukuro, but Otsuka itself is changing rapidly. The tarnished station facility was recently reconstructed to a modern building. This new building changed the atmosphere of the surrounding area. Young people began to flock together , shoppers began to visit this area, and now we can see events held in the station square. Seeing many people walking around this area, we can expect further change.
