Ueno station used to be the main station for railways which run from Tokyo to the northeast part of Japan. Until recently this station has the same image of Europe’s terminal stations, which are rare in Japan. But after the opening of Shinkansen (Japan’s bullet train) to northeast Japan and the replacement of urban railways, this station has lost the position of one of Tokyo’s busiest stations .
Now this station is getting a lot of people by another reason. In the large building which in the past accomodated huge number of travellers, many shops opened. With still many train users, this station is gaining another attraction from people in Tokyo.
