People in Tokyo do not often hear the word “Tokyo Port”. Rather, they often hear another names, “Oi port”, “Aomi port” , or “Shinagawa port”. Actually, all of these ports are operated by one company the name of which is “Tokyo Port Terminal Corporation”, so strictly speaking, Tokyo Port includes several ports or piers off the shore of central Tokyo.
I think the reason why people in Tokyo do not usually say “Tokyo Port” is that Tokyo Port is too large to recognize. You can see containers almost to the horizon. This is another scene of the capital of Japan.
