Takenotsuka is located at the northern border of Tokyo 23-ku area. Takenotsuka is the gateway town for people beyond the border . That is because this town is the last station within Tokyo 23-ku for Tobu Isezaki Line, which is actually the longest railway line by private railroad company (the longest railway line except JR). This line gathers huge amount of commuters from all over Saitama, Gunma, and Tochigi prefectures and fuse them into Tokyo.
But Takenotsuka has another feature: many apartment complexes were built around this station. People who live in these apartaments and who came from the north made shopping arcades in Takenotsuka more vibrant.
