From today, I will feature Oimachi area several times, because this old town is promised to change into new business center in the near future.
This photo shows Oimachi Station of JR East. Oimachi Station has three lines: JR East, Tokyu, and Rinkai Line. JR Oimachi and Tokyu Oimachi station opened about 100 years ago. Oimachi Station once suffered from loss of passengers 50 years ago because Tokyu Oimachi Line was downgraded to branch line, but this station has grown more than before since Rinkai Line opened 20 years ago and Tokyu Oimachi Line recovered its original position as a trunk line 10 years ago. But this is not the end of the growth of this station. This station is sure to grow more in tandem with the redevelopment plans around this area.
