There is an old entertainment district just one minute walk in the northeast of Oimachi Station. Until 65 years ago this area used to be so-called “Red-light district”. At that time when women offered such service legally, there were many red-light districts not only in Tokyo but also all over Japan, this district being one of them.
But Oimachi’s district is different from most of the others. Most of the others have been abandoned , but this district is still alive. In the evening many businesspersons ,not only businessmen but also businesswomen, visit this area to enjoy chattering over drinks. This district is sure to be feeling happy.
