Sumida-gawa Terrace is a walking space along Sumida RIver. It is 30 miles long, but the most popular part is that between Asakusa and the mouth of the river .
Sumida River represents Edo and Tokyo. It ran along the east end of Edo town, and this river was a very important path for ships carrying various materials to Edo people. This river was featured by many Ukiyoe pictures. After Meiji restoration , in tandem with the modernization of Tokyo, this river went through many riparian works, the newest of which is the introduction of Sumida-gawa Terrace.Many people in Tokyo enjoy jogging and walking along this space.
