Shin-0hashi bridge is one of the bridges which cross Sumida River. In Japanese, “Shin” means “new”, so this name means “New Ohashi bridge”,though it was first constructed around 1700. It is like “Pont Neuf” in Paris.
This river is characteristic in its vivid color. Though the construction date of the current bridge is not so new ( it is almost 50 years old), it gives a special accent over Sumida river.
