This site is where Lord Kira lived 300 years ago., near the Sumida river. You can see the statue of him in the photo. He was one of the lords (Daimyo) in Tokugawa shogunate.
Lord Kira is one of the most famous (notorious) heels in Japan. Though the truth is in the air, he gave insult to another lord in Shogun’s office, that lord got upset and injured him by his sword, and that load was ordered to kill himself (Seppuku) as a punishment. After that , that lord’s subordinates took revenge on Lord Kira . This event became so popular that this event was featured in Kabuki play and has been loved until now.
