Nishi-Shimbashi crossing is located where the Sotobori-Dori and Hibiya-Dori cross, which means this crossing is an important one for Tokyo. Before the rapid economic growth period of Japan, this crossing was more important and famous than now , with many movies which feature this crossing (at that time, this crossing was called “Tamuracho crossing” after the name of the area at that time).
Interestingly, there is no metro station under this important crossing (though Uchi-saiwai-cho station of Mita Line is just a block away). This is because this crossing is too close to Shimbashi Station.
