Many people in other countries know the name “Akihabara”, but their image of this town is different according to when they knew this town. In 1980s, it was probably the biggest town in the world which sells home appliances. In 1990s, it was probably the biggest town in the world which sells PCs. And now, it is probably the biggest town in the world which attracts Otakus, or nerds, who are infatuated by anime girls. It seems that even COVID-19 cannot stop Otakus visiting this town to look for their favorite anime characters.
