Ikebukuro

Ikebukuro is the gateway for the northwest part of Tokyo. Ikebukuro Station of Yamanote Loop Line accommodates the 2nd largest number of people in Tokyo, just next to Shinjuku Station. There are many landmarks in Ikebukuro, but I believe the most characteristic one is this department store, the Seibu Department Store in Ikebukuro. No doubt is this wall-like department store one of the busiest shopping site in Japan.

This Sunday, people are enjoying their holiday under summer sunshine. They are waiting for the opening of Tokyo Olympic games, hoping for the recovery from Coronavirus pandemic.
