There are several downtowns which are called “border town”, in other words, downtowns located just within the border of Tokyo District. Narimasu is one of them , positioned on Tobu Tojo Railway which runs toward the northwest of Kanto plane. In a joke among people in Tokyo, Tokyo District becomes Saitama Prefecture from Narimasu, because in Japanese “Narimasu” means “become” .
Actually, Narimasu is a popular town, because this town has two railways to Tokyo , one operates many nonstop trains to Yamanote Loop Line and the other goes directly to the heart of Tokyo. That is why you can see many people shopping close to Narimasu station.
