Ginza 4-chome crossing

changing Tokyo

From today, I would like to feature busiest towns in Tokyo 4 weeks in a row. That is because people in Tokyo seem to have finally weathered the formidable COVID-19. It is almost certain that COVID-19 continues to be with them at least during this year with occasional outbreaks, but I feel they have changed their mindset to resume their social activities with this virus. The tsunami waves seem ebbing.

Ginza 4-chome crossing is a landmark of Tokyo high-class shopping area. On this day, the crossing was filled with countless shoppers like the days before the pandemic. But there are important things you cannot see in this photo: shoppers from all over the world. When they came back here, we can say COVID-19 is over. I am eagerly looking forward to that day.
