On the May of last year 2022, I featured Ueno Park from the same position and promised to take the photo again on “next year’s Golden Week”. Today’s article is to make good on my words.
It is hard to recognize that this photo is taken from the same position of last year’s photo. The wide space is filled with many tents to accommodate events to entertain people. Plenty of people are strolling to enjoy their holidays. I can say this is the same scene as that before COVID-19, except the fact that many people are still wearing masks. Next week, Japanese government is to officially announce that COVID-19 be treated as the normal flu. This day has now finally come.
