Tameike Crossing

This is a photo of Tameike Crossing, the crossing of Roppongi Street (overpass) and Sotobori loop street. You may think this is one of a nondescript crossings which can be seen all over Tokyo.

That is not correct . This crossing is located at the key point of Japan’s government. On one corner, there is Prime Minister’s Office of Japan. On another corner, there is the US Embassy in Tokyo. The Diet and administrative offices of Japan are located around the next crossings . Yes, this crossing can be said to be the gate to Japan’s governmental district from the south part of Tokyo.
