From this time, I am going to feature three terminals of Haneda Airport, which is by far the busiest airport in Japan and one of the busiest airports in the world.
The first one is Terminal 1. This terminal is mainly used by Japan Airlines domestic flights, but Skymark Airlines uses this terminal too.
When this terminal was completed 30 years ago, this was the only terminal in Haneda Airport. At that time this terminal accommodated both Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, the two giant airlines of Japan. And at that time Haneda Airport did not have international flights but exceptional cases . You may wonder why this terminal was able to accommodate all flights of Haneda , but when people saw this terminal at the inauguration event, they were astonished by the huge size of this terminal compared with the former ones located in the west part of the airport, and could not imagine the days when they needed to construct additional terminals.
