Shinagawa Station has the main path ,which crosses over the whole station to connect the east gate and the west gate. This path is one of the icons of Tokyo. In commute time both in the morning and in the evening, this path is filled with businesspersons and becomes “a wide river of people”. Such scenes are often featured to show the vibrant energy of Tokyo’s economy.
In a few years, as I wrote in the previous article, this path will penetrate the wall at the west end( the wall in the picture with many small windows), and cross over Route 1 also. At that time, this path is sure to become more famous .
